Hi, I’m Dr Qian – (Pronounced Chen),
Yes, I am a fully qualified doctor (Western & Chinese medicine) and orthopaedic specialist surgeon, offering all-natural orthopaedic services in Crouch End (but not surgery).
Feel free to call me, Dr Chen or just Chen, if you drop by Bien Jn Chinese Medicine Centre and Orthopedic clinic in Crouch End. When I’m not with a patient I’m always happy to share my knowledge and answer any questions about our orthopaedic services in Crouch End.
I was born and brought up in the centre of China. I studied both Chinese medicine and Western medicine at Anhui University of Chinese Medicine based in Hefei, China.
Ok, I know that you probably want to know a little bit more about me before entrusting me with your welfare so here is a brief outline of my life so far.
Anhui University Hospital
After graduating I worked in both the university & hospital in China. In our hospital, it is normal to use both Chinese medicine and Western medicine skills to treat patients. Since Western medicine and Chinese medicine work so well together, it results in better patient health and a speedier recovery.
Orthopaedic Services & Teaching at Anhui University
After years of orthopaedic practice at Anhui University hospital, I started work at the university where I taught general practice doctors. Amongst other skills, I taught Acupuncture.
Chinese Medicine Research Project
During my 14 years working on orthopaedic services at Anhui University Hospital, I was also conducting a research project with a team of researchers to scientifically verify the efficacy of specific herbs. This research gave me a much better appreciation and understanding of the full extent to which Chinese herbal remedies cure many underlying health problems. During our 10 years of research, we tested numerous Traditional Chinese medicine recipes under modern laboratory conditions to verify their efficacy.
OUR STORY
Bien Jn Story
In 2003 I had the opportunity to come to England and after living here for a while I decided to open the Bien Jn Chinese Medicine Centre rather than a general practice surgery.
I know that in Britain there are a number of medical conditions that can be treated more effectively with Chinese medicine or Acupuncture. These range from Depression, ME (Chronic Fatigue), Irritable bowel syndrome, and infertility, to liver disease and menopausal symptoms (for a full list go here).
The problem in Britain, however, is that there are not many Doctors trained in Chinese medicine and so there is little opportunity to get effective and natural treatments – instead, it’s often a case of prescribing medication or therapy to alleviate the symptoms rather than actually curing the illness.
What Is an Orthopaedic Surgeon Doctor?
Orthopaedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumours, and congenital disorders.
